Burger on the Rebound(s): REVIEW. As someone who has digested burgers along Broadway and then some, the burger at Rebounds is now tops on my list for uptown. My cheeseburger was cooked medium well and it was exactly that: a thick, juicy, tasty burger on a sesame seed bun with lettuce, tomato, grilled onions, and a special sauce. Fries? YES! Handcut small fries lightly salted served by the friendly Aris. Total: $12.00 It was opening night and without a place to sit and waiting for a friend, one of the two owners, a husband and wife team (I didnt know them) spotted my uncertainly and the Mrs. sent me inside to sit with their friends. Talk about hospitality! The husband insisted on straightforward, honest feedback and he got it. Excelente! Rebounds is a small place which makes for an intimate bar and several round tables with stools. TVs are set up behind the bar and above the door. The tvs were set to ESPN and - there was an old clip of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar who grew up in Inwood. Nice touch. Open for lunch at 11:30 am during the week and noon on the weekends. Til midnight during the week. Two a.m. on the weekends. Pepsi on tap and Aris said they can get Diet Coke for those non-Pepsi drinkers. Come out and support your local businesses!
