Burundi is still struggling mightily to overcome the impact of the 1994 genocide. Political instability, incredibly dense population centers, destruction of natural resources, and neglect by the rest of the world have made life in this mountainous nation extremely difficult. Jesus is not neglecting Burundi. When we held a meeting last year to gauge the interest of local pastors in receiving pastoral training from Reaching Souls, hundreds of pastors attended from all across the nation. We plan to train 600 pastors in Burundi this summer, add 50 National Missionaries, and hold two short term projects. We are excited to see what God is going to do in this nation that needs, and is seeking for, His presence.
