Job Info: Expand existing business base and recruit new business for the purpose of promoting and negotiating the hiring of WIA participants or serving as community service or work experience training sites. Enter and track employer contact data, job orders, and job placements using the Employ Kentucky Operating System (computer tracking system), Focus Assist, and other databases. Conduct follow-up with employers regarding their job orders. Communicate with Business Services Manager regarding businesses’ need for outplacement services, training services, etc. and plan, develop and procure short-term skills training based upon results of face-to-face visits with employers, brokerage services, economic development recruitment activities, employer surveys and other local data. Assist employers in accessing resources, including labor market information, job fairs, recruiting assistance, On the Job Training, tax credit information, etc. Assist in the coordination and facilitation of job fairs.
