From Community Member and Page Administrator Saylor McLennan: When John and I started this page nearly 3 1/2 years ago, I also started a personal spreadsheet of several of the most frequent questions and subsequent recommendations seen on the page. I knew that at some point, I too would probably need those same recommendations when I found myself in a similar situation. I titled this personal spreadsheet When All Hell Breaks Loose. Today, was just one of those days when this foresight has thankfully worked in my favour. Last night my oven took a turn for the worse - I contacted Stephen at Appliance General (whom I know to have been recommended many times on this page before for major appliance repair) and he was fantastic! He arrived in a timely manner, he diagnosed the problem and was able to find the necessary part very quickly and he returned with the part and had my oven repaired almost immediately. He also provided some great major appliance knowledge that I have no doubt will be useful when it comes time for us to replace certain major appliances down the road... All said and done; I highly recommend Stephen at Appliance General - 780-499-4240. So, thank you to everyone who has and continues to add their recommendations, advice and experiences to this page. You may never know when or how your suggestions will make a positive difference in what can seem like a stressful situation but, trust me when I say; your good advice and recommendations really do matter!
