Busy day in the garden today; first job was to install a new pipeline and tap to the clothes washing area outdoors. The ladies of the house were always complaining about having to unravel the hose, bring it over to the wash tub and then run back and forth turning the tap on and off. So they cant complain any more. Next job was easy: deadheading the roses and trimming back the petunias. Yes, we do have roses and petunias in the garden, in spite of it being around 32-34 degrees on average every day. The petunias do well all the time, but the rose blossoms are quite short-lived, no more than 3 or 4 days, but pretty nonetheless when they are blooming. The good news is that they produce new flower heads frequently, so there are always three of four rose bushes in bloom
