“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.” – Galatians 5:22-23 Are you one of those who work well with a check list? At the end of the day do you base how well you did by your works – what you did? There is a difference between works and fruit. Works are what you accomplish. Fruit is grown out of life and for a Christian it is a life lived in the Spirit. It takes much effort to accomplish works and those works are dead in that they don’t produce more on their own. But the Spirit produces living fruit and in that fruit is the seed for still more fruit. Love births more love, joy produces more joy! This is the way that we glorify Him. Are you working hard for God or are you allowing the Spirit to produce fruit in you that brings more fruit? Kay Arthur
