But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For “whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.” (Romans 10:8-13 NKJV) Today people everywhere are gathering together to celebrate the first bright moments if the new year. For many it is the toughest day of the year. Wishing they could just start over. Forget about the past. Whats this year really going to be like for you? You may be looking ok on the outside and smile and laugh but on the inside you are empty and lonely. You might feel you cant go on. All of that can change in an instant. You can start life over just like you start a brand new year. It can be the best day of your life full of joy. Truly a new beginning in life. How many times have you said I wish I could just start over. Id do it all differently.? That doesnt have to be just a wish. You can actually start a new life. Jesus Christ made that possible when He went to the cross and shed His blood for our sins. He paid the penalty for all your mistakes. Let this be His New Years present to you. The reason He was born was so you could start all over again. You can make a new start for 2015 and for the rest of your life. Its as easy as saying Jesus, Im turning my life over to You. From this day forward Im yours and Im living for You. I receive You as my Lord and Savior. What better time to turn your life around than on this first day of the new year. Right now, wherever you are, just give your life to Jesus. It will be the best decision you will ever make.
