But when the king came in to see the guests, he noticed a man there who was not wearing wedding clothes. He asked, How did you get in here without wedding clothes, friend? The man was speechless. Then the king told the attendants, Tie him hand and foot, and throw him outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. -Mathew 22:11-13 It doesnt matter how many old ladies youve helped cross the street, how much money youve given to the poor or how many times you took the ice bucket challenge. It doesnt matter how many good deeds you do. Your righteousness will NOT get you into heaven. The only requirement that God will look for when you stand before Him is to see whether or not you are CLOTHED with the righteousness of His Son. If you are not clothed with His righteousness you will immediately be escorted from His presence into hell. Your threads are filthy in the sight of God (Isaiah 64:6, Zec 3:3,4 ). Dont be arrogant by trying to come to God on your own terms. Repent and take the wedding garments God has provided through His Son (Isaiah 61:10, 2Cor5:21)
