Butch Weedon we are thankful to have you with us here at Robie Creek Fire Department. ~ This one by Paul Combs says it all. As young members we have to listen and take in as much as we can from the old timers. We all know they have stories to tell of the simpler times. The days of hip boots, house sirens and respect. We must keep the veterans of the fire service close to us and cherish the time that we have left with them. They are the glue that binds us together as old experience and heart mixing with our young enthusiasm, muscle and energy. Every chance that you get, take advice and soak it in like a sponge. You can learn a lot from someone who has seen most of what the eyes could see and what the mind would care to remember.
