Butt pucker moment: I have a stop in the woods of Stoddard Nh. Im trying to call for directions. Theres no cell service so Im walking in circles looking for service. I walk past a dumpster near this restaurant. A lady opens her window and yells at me. Excuse me sir!!! Mumble mumbleI cant hear her so I walk closer. Now shes frantic EXCUSE ME SIR!!! Mumble air bee bubs!! I say to myself this lady is nuts Then I hear what she is saying. Her words are crystal clear. A shot of adrenalin flushes through my body. EXCUSE ME SIR!!! THERES A BEAR WITH 3 CUBS RIGHT NEXT TO U!!! I look to my right and sure as shit about 10 feet from me a bear is looking at me. I see her blink. I hear her breathe. I almost shit my pants. Her 3 cubs are climbing the tree behind her. I can hear her claws ripping at the tree as she climbs up with her cubs. In 2 days I could have been bear poop.
