By 2015 the Government of Canada will do away with cheques. So anybody on Social Assistance will need to get i.d. and direct deposit. Now all you need for I.D. to start is birth certificate and a S.I.N.#. To get your birth certificate you have to pay $27 dollars @ Vital Statistics @ Robson street near Granville or if you want it right away you can pay $65 and youll get birth certificate right thier, for $27 you can wait for it in the mail. Well the Government is doing away with S.I.N.# as well. not completely you have to memorize it now. So what you do is take your birth certificate and bring it to sinclair centre to service canada to get your confimation S.I.N.#. Once you have those two you can go get your B.C.I.D. they are doing this because of identity theft. any questions dont hesitate to ask me, I will help you, ttyl. have fun
