By Bishop Charleston, Each year around this time, when holiday images surround us on streets and in shops, I pause to share a word with anyone who is struggling with the season. I do this not to rain on the parade, but to make certain no one is left out of the embrace of compassion that is at the real heart of our celebration.For some of us, this is a difficult anniversary, a reminder of separation, a sense of isolation. I know because I have been there. So if this is true for you, or someone you know, here is a quiet word from the heart: the light of this season is not all around you, but within you. Others may not see it, but there is always Someone who does.
