By Brenda Kunneman A New Song [Thursday, July 25, 2013] “Because you hold the mystery of Christ within you, there is always a new song with new words to sing. For even as you sing about the marvelous works of the Lord this day, your song shall go forth as a victory cry, and you shall experience victory in a new way, says the Lord.” Prophetic Scripture: O sing unto the Lord a new song; for he hath done marvelous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory (Psalms 98:1). When Psalm 98:1 talks about the right hand of the Lord, it is a prophetic picture of Jesus who won the victory for us and is now seated at God’s right hand. The reason Jesus is seated at God’s right hand is because the right hand speaks of favor and complete victory. Because of Jesus, we are also seated on God’s right hand of favor where there is continual revelation flowing about all the marvelous things He has done for us (see Eph. 2:6). The mystery of Christ in our lives is so expansive that there is always something new to rejoice about. Continually rehearsing it increases your sense of victory. However, the Psalmist doesn’t tell us to just talk about it—he tells us to sing. Singing does something that talking cannot. When song is attached, it opens you to a realm of flowing revelation that bypasses your logical mind. It adds an emotional dimension that causes an overwhelming victory to arise in your heart as you realize how big God is and that there is always something new to sing about regarding Him! Sing about God’s wonderful works in your life today, and watch it bring you into a new victorious experience!Prayer: Lord, I sing today about all Your marvelous works because of what Jesus gave me. I am seated at Your right hand of favor with Christ, and as I sing today about it, victory shall arise all around me! Amen.
