CrossFit & Pregnancy. CrossFit Evolution member Mindy is still training, albeit scaled, twice a week in our gym. She is only 8 weeks from giving birth!! We plan on seeing her in the gym all the way up to the day of birth :) Everyone is different though. Over our 7.5 years of running our CrossFit gym, we had trained many pregnant women, and most were able to train all the way up to birth. I cant stress enough, the importance of weekly communication & follow-up between coach & member, over her ever-changing body & needs. I also cannot stress enough, the importance of having a good relationship between coach, member, & doctor. Between the 3 of us, we are able to keep everyone safe & very happy! We have always used & highly recommend crossfitmom as our #1 Go-To Guide. Always remember: to train at a pace you are comfortable with, dont hold your breath or get out of breath, and always listen to your body. Certain movements get scaled or dropped completely, from trimester to trimester, for you & the babys safety.
