By Olufemi Ogunkilede Rivers CP: Body calls I G P to honour National Assemblies Resolution...... urges President to order Wike over inflammatory comments A body of the Past Councilors Forum of Rivers State (2004-2007) Legislative Session led by Hon. Henry Uranta has called on the Inspector General Of Police, Mr Mohammed Abubakar to honour the Resolutions of both Chambers of the National Assembly and the call by all well meaning Nigerians to redeploy Mr Mbu. The body who made this known during a press briefing in Port-Harcourt equally said that " We wish to call on the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan to call his minister of state for Education, Hon Ezebunwo Nyesom Wike to order for the inflammatory comments he is busy making around the state, threatening the peace of the people of rivers State. We want to remind our Minister that it is one thing to create a monster and another thing to determine who the monster will consume".The residents of Rivers State will agree with us that the coming of Mr Mbu to Rivers State is like the proverbial wind that blows no good. His coming has brought back cult activities on our streets. It has brought back Kidnapping, Armed Robbery, Thugery and Militant activities in our state. He brought with him, high level impunity and police brutality" He said. "We also wish to call on our dear president who is the leader of PDP to call Bro Felix Obuah to order for creating disorder in our party and insulting the office of the Governor, we want to state that we will always stand with our Governor, Rt Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi and wish to thank him for the rapid infrastructural development of the State". The body equally noted that "we wish to denounce and disown the impersonators who presented an award to the Rivers State Commissioner of Police Mr Mbu Joseph Mbu on behalf of the past Councilors Forum of Rivers State,because such a man does not deserve an award, not from us nor from anybody in Rivers State". According to them, "we condemn this action in its totality because there was never a time we the past Councilors Forum of this State agreed to present any award to Mr Mbu and we do not agree that Mr Mbu deserves an award from anybody in Rivers State let alone of an honourable body like the past councilors forum".
