By Pere Toloyai: (Photo added by Tubonimi Abraham Ebiakpo) HON.TIMI BRISIBES GIANT STRIDES IN BURUTU LG Hon.Timi Brisibe has always stated irrevocably and categorically that,utmost in his manifesto is to champion a holistic development course for the Burutu LGA.He has also pledged to be at the beck and call of his people whose mandate he seeks and carries them along in his developmental strides. Evident in this disposition is a few of ongoing projects in the area.Theres a popular maxim that the youths are the future of any nation.Hon.Timi Brisibe is a leader that acknowledges this truism and acted accordingly when he pursued for the contracting and execution of the ongoing Youth Development Centre project under the NDDC in Ojobo community.The significance and usefulness of such a centre to the youths cannot be overstated as they say an idle mind is the devils workshop. Youths of the community will no doubt see this facility as a safe haven on its completion.Taking a trip to this facility that is near completion,you find such features as a gymnasium,a standard conference centre,a cyber cafe,a spacious lawn,to mention a few. A gymnasium for instance will aid to enhance the fitness and health of the youths when put to judicious use.Health challenges like hypertension,obesity,undue fatique and so on can be outrightly checkmated by using the gym.The cyber cafe as it is known is a structure where knowledge could be sought via the internet.The youths will always be informed by surfing the net at the cafe as information is key to knowledge.The conference centre would always serve as a platform for brainstorming as seminars,symposia,talk shows can be staged there.The gains of having such a facility in a community is to say the least,unquantifiable. Aside this lofty project,Hon.Timi Brisibe is also partnering with others in a shore protection and reclamation project in Ojobo and a sandfilling and reclamation project in Burutu town.These are massive projects that are of untold significance to any coastal community the world over. These laudable projects are just a tip off the iceberg as more and more such projects are in the offing as promised by the indefatigable leader of thought,HON.TIMI BRISIBE.I doff my hat. In consonance with our collective dreams and aspirations for a better Burutu LG,lets therefore pull our weight behind Hon.Timi Brisibe in support as our representative in the Federal House of Assembly 2015 so as to guarantee more of the aforementioned dividends of a practical democracy and better our lot on the long run.
