By Yugal Kishor Saran Folks, Human trafficking has truly become a global threat to vulnerable men, women, and children worldwide. Our state Sikkim is also becoming vulnerable to it. Combating this human trafficking is not an aspect since this crime is an organised crime and is hard to trace the triffickers. The institutions like Kanchanjunga Uddhar Kendra (Siliguri), CINI (Siliguri), Maiti Nepal (Nepal) [to name few] are trying hard to curb this heinous crime and to provide shelter home to the victims but still trafficking is growing at an alarming rate. I personally feel that that the school going students are mostly vulnerable to human trafficking and since awareness is only the radical way that can bring change in the society I urge the TEACHERS of all the schools of Sikkim to kindly create the awareness against Human Trafficking to the students ... YOUR SINGLE STEP CAN MAKE HUGE DIFFERENCE.
