By now if your seeing this image you know that we had ourselves quite the #NorthernLights show over the Weekend. You may also be aware that the odds of anyone seeing any of the aurora were less then good due to the months long rain storm we have been stuck in. Did I mention the rain? Well rain or not I was bound and determined to get a glimpse of the "#nightfire" even if it meant Driving to ME to achieve it. Ok well I was going to ME anyway but even with think heavy clouds foretasted the entire way I took the definitely longer potentially darker absolutely less populated E/W rout to my destination. I was graciously rewarded with for my tenacity and perseverance with 99% thick, pea soup fog and tercentennial rains, shocking I know. But WOW that one 1% HOLY COW!! It literally stopped me in my tracks. What are the changes the one place with a small break in the clouds would be along a rustic golf course in the Northern White Mountains of NH. This image is a "full auroral oval" #panorama consisting of of 7 individual vertically shot images. The aurora was so strong and extended so far south (into Kansas) that we experienced full on coronal aurora or a crown of northern lights over VT.
