By popular demand, I got my haircut today. After converting the price displayed on the barbers window into naira at the prevailing exchange rate, I decided it would be better to persuade my lovely wife to cut my hair. However, I must post an advisory to those of you considering asking your wife to cut your hair. You should understand that a well-sharpened electric clipper can be a very lethal weapon and potentially capable of life-threatening injuries. I will therefore suggest that you do not try this the morning immediately after you both had the where-were-you-last-night argument. You may also want to try a combination of these well-tested survival strategies: 1) First gauge her mood to see if she has recently discovered anything you may have been concealing for some time. 2) As added insurance, make her a cup of her favorite beverage, preferably served with her favorite cookies. 3) Apologize for everything you can recall that you have ever done wrong to her, including those things you are not even sure she knows about. A blanket apology followed by the words I love you so much is a good self-preservation technique. 4) Ensure that the door is not locked and that emergency services can get to you rapidly. 5) Set your phone to speed-dial 911 at the touch of a button. You may have only a few precious seconds before you lose consciousness. As you can tell from these pictures and the fact that I am still healthy enough to post this comment, my haircut went smoothly (perhaps because unlike most of you, I have no skeletons in my cupboard). Of course, the cup of cocoa served with cream-topped cookies and accompanied with a dozen red roses (all given before the exercise), may have helped. LOL! BEFORE......... DURING............ AFTER...............
