By request, heres a little flashback from my trip to New Orleans during September-October, 2012 - footage from the dig in the hidden room of 78s at Jim Russells Records. The day was the afternoon of Wednesday, September 26, 2012 and the place is Jim Russells Records on Magazine Street in New Orleans. Id talked to Denise the day before about going into a hidden room full of 78s in the very back of the store thatd been closed off to the public since it suffered damage from Hurricane Katrina in 2005. Dangerous place back there, mostly from all the airborne crap like mold, mildew and lots of powdered plaster & rodent droppings everywhere. Twas quite the experience, digging for records in an area with no electricity and wearing a face mask. ;) Denise was pure awesome to let me dig back there, though - brought out 77 records for myself as well as a pile of records to help make some sorely needed money for the store. So, for those who wanted a little taste of where I spent 2 days getting those dig records from, here ya go - and please excuse my worse-than-usual speakage, as I was in-and-out of a hot & damp area throughout the entirety of business hours that day. ;) Dig.....
