By the time I made it to the hospital you were already gone. I didnt get a chance to meet you or say goodbye. Still I want to thank you for what you taught me. Because of you I now realize that I have the capacity to love someone so much that it makes me want to be a better person. You died so that your mother could live and in doing so you taught me about making the ultimate sacrifice for those that you love. And in your passing you have brought your mother and I together as friends, something that we hadnt been able to do on our own since we have known each other. And although we are both hurting right now, your mother and I draw strength from one another and in our one special common bond- our love for you. We couldnt be prouder to be your Mom and Dad. Your mother and I may be going our seperate ways, but we both pledge to keep your memory alive in how we move forward in our respective lives. By treating each other and those who we encounter on a daily basis with great kindness and respect. No matter where we go from here your mother and I will never be alone, you are with us always.
