By the way, just before I write this, let me make it known that I haven’t read a word on Linda Ikeji’s blog. A shinkini word. I don’t do gossips or all those things. Mba! So here it is - I am morally with Linda in this struggle of hers. As a Lawyer I know what she did is wrong, but on moral grounds, I don’t think all those criticizing her have any moral pyramid to, especially those bloggers that incessantly steal works of people like us. We the ‘Content Providers Association Members’ (don’t google us, we sabi ourselves). We aren’t angry at her, or anyone of you bloggers. You’ve made our works easy to access. You’ve made us shape this emerging prism of sophisticated ethics and culture. You’ve done that fiercely, and as much as we ache when you do that, we know it’s mostly for a good cause. At least we see you organize charity events and give out to the people freely. I digress. But if you guys will joyfully take down one of yours, OH! Earth has seen no fury like a Writer’s! Especially we writers that are also Lawyers. We burn! And there are a lot of us in this micro-cyber-space of ours. If we start with you bloggers ehn, you will take down all your posts. Even those of you that think your works are original. Did you buzz Shakespeare before quoting him? Or do you think he doesn’t have a foundation you can reach? Did you buzz Obama? You think merely adding his name is enough credit? Oh, please! Like I wrote above, legally, if we want to talk, all of you will be going down the drain! ALL! Pata pata! But we will be quiet, for the sake of unity. Unity of this generation of ours. Something you loud bloggers don’t take seriously, or consider necessary. And Newspapers have also stolen my works a couple of times. #JustSaying It’s a challenge to this youth of ours. A look at how our future will be. And we really have failed. Woefully so. Our elders have successfully passed their PhD syndrome down to us – Pull Him Down, that is. And all those that think Linda is down and away, na lie! The sister will rise. It’s not rocket science to create another blog, and of course, that one will be more popular and successful than the one you guys have successfully thrown under the bus. And by that time, need I write more? I will be googling every freaking day to see who has lifted my works, and any of my friend’s works. Yeah, I will do over sabi! And I will go to twitter, and destroy your career! Yeah, your entire career! Every piece of it. To shreds. And I mean it. *straight face* And please don’t retweet me, quote my tweet or even favorite it without first seeking permission! Yes, those acts breach Intellectual Property rights too. All of you downloading YouTube videos and uploading it on your channel, with or without credit, be warned! Hahaha! Una never jam! #ThisFuryIsReal! PS: If you are a blogger, and still want to remain in the ‘profession’, just get a lawyer already! It’s a new dawn, and its thorns are not respectful of your ignorance. PSS: If you are an artiste, and you are releasing songs, videos, skits on social media, without following the due process, be warned! Even though they are your works, there are appropriate channels to follow! We will let the appropriate Ministries know of their Rights, and they will come after you. As in ehn! Una go hear wehn! PSSS: Don’t share my facebook posts either! Without asking me first! And no be just inbox o. You will have to send a proper formal letter, not to my email, but to my PO frigging Box through the Post freaking Office. Yeah, I’m that old school. Shebi that’s kukuma where all of you belong. Old school folks with primitive IQs. That’s why Innovations are not Made In Africa! The cyber world is leaving you behind and you are crying over someone that lifts your works with adequate credit?
