Bye bye to the old Steinway and welcome to the new Steinway at The Ellington. A huge thank you to the piano technician, genius, magician, master, legend Paul Tunzi who reconditioned this instrument with blood, sweat and tears - and love - after 15 yrs of storage - Unbelievable job!!! Also Rob Isles for safely moving the pianos and Andrew Bolt for his incredible generosity loaning The Ellington a piano for the last 5 & 1/2 years. A special thanks to the Dr Harold Schenberg foundation for gifting Harolds piano, and again to Mr Tunzi for negotiating this arrangement. I gave Harold a few piano lessons in the late 90s and Im sure hed be chuffed to see it restored to its former glory in its new home. I must say Im humbled and honoured to have such incredible people helping out The Ellington and the Jazz and wider music community.
