This is a photo that I received from Cousin Liz (Childs) Kelley. Its a photo that would have been taken in or around Steuben and the information that I have on my family members would suggest that the picture was taken around 1930. I do recognize my dad, Cap Havens, to the right side of the picture. In the center, at the saw control, is Grandpa Reuben Henry Havens. Behind him next to the stack of wood is John T. Bartholomew, who was married to Martha (Aunt Matt, as she was known to everyone in Steuben) Havens. Martha is also Reubens sister. The gentleman to the left in this photo is Isaac Grant Havens and is Reubens brother and he always went by the name Grant. He apparently didnt like his given first name. The horses belonged to Great Grandfather Joseph Havens. The timber and lumber industry played such a huge role in Steubens existence back then.
