CADETSHIPS Mining Engineering-Mine Surveying-Environmental Science Geology Electrical Engineering-Mechanical Engineering Occupational Health and Safety Whitehaven Coal Mining Limited is seeking enthusiastic people to join the company as Cadets for its current and future Open Cut and Underground Coal mining operations, based near the towns of Werris Creek, Boggabri Gunnedah and Narrabri in the Gunnedah Basin of New South Wales. Successful applicants will commence employment in 2014 and participate in a program of university studies and practical training. Whitehaven would provide the opportunity for work within its operations in university vacations and provide a scholarship payment for each year of study. There will be an obligation on the part of the recipients to remain in employment with Whitehaven for a period of 3 years post graduation.
