CAF have confirmed that South Africa will now have two clubs representing the country in the Champions League instead of one. Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns and runners-up Kaizer Chiefs qualify to play in the event this year. The same applies to the Confederation Cup, which means Nedbank Cup winners Orlando Pirates and third-placed League finishers Bidvest Wits qualify for the competiton. All four clubs have been asked to confirm their participation.
