Krista has a question I havent see here. Lets see if we can help. This year I am teaching a 4th grade PRIMES math class. These students are high achieving in mathematics and are being accelerated. I am noticing that there is A LOT of competition among my students! I dont reinforce this behavior, but it seems to be getting worse. They seem to compete over everything from AR points, number of books read, even turning in an assignment first! I even have parents commenting on it during conferences. I am wondering if there is anything I can do to help decrease this behavior? Any help and ideas would be appreciated!!
