To think that in 2014 we are facing, in some states, Neo-Jim Crow voting laws and policy is unconscionable and immoral. People have paid with their lives for the right to vote. We’ve come too far to go back, thus we are determined to organize and take our souls to the polls and vote!” Additionally Bray added, “We will also push for the Congressional passage of the Voting Rights Amendment Act of 2014.” The American Muslim Alliances is a national civil and human rights advocacy organization promoting social and economic justice through citizen participation and civic engagement.
