CALL FOR ARTISTS FOR WAR OF 1812 MONUMENT The City of Saskatoon (City) and Whitecap Dakota First Nations have partnered together to seek Requests for Qualifications (RFQ) from an artist and/or design team for the creation and implementation of an interpretive collection of works, including a commemorative monument and interpretive panels. The objective of this public art project is to commemorate and interpret the role and significance of the War of 1812 Bicentennial in the Prairie Provinces. The monument will be located at River Landing in Saskatoon at the roundabout at Avenue A and Spadina Crescent, and is being commissioned and paid for by Whitecap Dakota First Nations. Deadline for Submissions: September 25, 2013, at 3:00 p.m. CST The complete RFQ document can be found at saskatoon.ca, click “A” for Arts.
