CALL FOR ARTISTS! Hello my dearest contemporaries! Please read this full post before asking questions, or submitting work. I’ve been given the opportunity to curate a show in the Downtown Center Gallery, located in downtown Pomona, off 2nd street. The title of the show will be VESSELS. I am interested in exemplifying how the art object serves as a vessel for ideas, metaphors, and ultimately the essence of the artist to flow and transfer into the lives others. If you have any work you would like to submit please email images of your work, by this Friday, December 19th, to irigoyen917@gmail. In addition to images of your work, submit a brief explanation for why you feel your work matches this theme, the dimension and medium of the work, the sale price for your piece (all works have to be for sale so if you don’t want to sell it set the price ridiculously high, due also note that 30% of the sale will go to the gallery so calculate this into your sale price), and your full name or pseudonym. The show will open January 10th, in alignment with the “Second Saturday” event held on 2nd Street, and will be on display for approximately 3.5 weeks.
