Name of the project:TRADITIONAL CHILDREN GAMES VENUE: DİYARBAKIR/TURKEY Arrival : 05/08/2014 Departure:12/08/2014 We need partners from 4 countries, each country will have 6 participants + 1 group leader . Participants must be betwen 18-25 aged , for group leaders have no age limit. As of the Erasmus +, we ask for participants to send us their PIC number and also an agreement for the fully participation of the Project. Summary of the project :Since the beginning of human life, the first socialization appeared to set up games between friends, such as (topaç, seksek, yağ satarım, mendil kapmaca, yakan top, çamurdan-bezden oyuncaklar yapma ve beş taş). Such games have given rise to socialization, establishing friendly relationships. Such childhood games are extensively rich in every region of our country. All games are intertwined with their respective geographical region and accustomed to its place of residence, customs and traditions and way of life, growing evermore in number. Games give a sense of content to children and indirectly affect their social, psychological and physical development. Through the passage of time, our traditional games have been subjected to major changes. Progress brings with it regress, and this is evidently seen in the new generation, having children choosing technological or virtual games over traditional games. This in turn has led them both to communicate verbally less with each other and even subjected to influences, such as violence, from an early age, affecting their psychological and social development. The concept of unity and inter-relations are two vital concepts in every child’s social and mental development, both of which are found in traditional games, as opposed to ‘modern games’. Furthermore, traditional games afford children an opportunity to boost their self-confidence and their personality whilst engaging with others and from an early stage, help them to appreciate the fruits of diversification, tolerance and sharing. Children should learn to choose such values over being buried in solitude behind a gadget. This project has been directed to traditional childrens games and more traditional childrens games today is intended to raise awareness to ensure.
