CALL FOR PARTNERS TIME FOR YOU(th) – NEW IMPULSES FOR QUALITY IN EUROPEAN YOUTH WORK Dear colleagues, partners and friends, We, CGE Erfurt e.V., are inviting you to be our partners in the long-term KA1 project “TIME FOR YOU(th) – NEW IMPULSES FOR QUALITY IN EUROPEAN YOUTH WORK” which will have its first activity in Weimar, Germany in the summer of 2015. Background: The objectives of the project are the imparting of knowledge and exchange of experiences on the quality and recognition of non-formal education within European youth work. Specifically, the project will address this question with emphasis on work with and for youth with fewer opportunities, mainly geographical, social and economic, creating space for further strengthening the partnerships between organizations from Programme countries and SEE, all in the scope of the Erasmus+ Programme. The core topic for all planned project activities will therefore be ‘’quality’’. What does it mean for a project to be successful and have quality? What are the lessons learned through our previous work? How do we ensure the quality of our future projects? What are the key competences of everyone involved in our future projects? These are some of the question we want to address and answer through this project in order to genuinely empower all participating parties to incorporate new and higher standards into their future work, thus making a greater impact on their respective communities and the lives of the people they work with. Themes during the planned project line: Establishing standards of quality in future Erasmus+ projects; Learning and exchange on key competences of project managers, trainers, youth workers and volunteers involved in future Erasmus+ projects; Raising the level of understanding of the importance of recognition of non-formal education in general, and through the Erasmus+ Programme in particular; Strengthening the impact of future Erasmus+ projects on communities towards which they are directed. The project line (overall duration 18 months) will consist of several main events: 1) Contact making event (Germany) 2) Seminar for organisational managers and project managers on Standards in Project Development (Serbia) 3) First training course for trainers and youth workers on Key Competences for Trainers in Non-Formal Education (Macedonia) 4) Mid-term evaluation (Germany) 5) Second training course for trainers and youth workers on Development of New Methods and Curricula for Future Work (Croatia) 6) Second training course for organisational managers and project managers on Recognition and Strengthening the Project Impacts (Bosnia & Herzegovina) 7) Final evaluation meeting (Germany) The project line is furthermore expected to support all present participants and their sending institutions in developing future cooperative projects and exchanges involving not only participants but also their beneficiaries. Additionally guest speakers are invited to give initial inputs. The project line is accompanied by professional technological and media support. All applied methods and activities are based on experiences made in several years of practice on civic education and youth work practices on local, regional, national & international level. Who is eligible to become a partner? The project will be realized with partners from programme countries from EU28, EFTA + pre-accession countries and partners from SEE. Therefore the present call is open for NGOs, European Youth NGOs, social enterprises, public bodies at local level, groups of young people active in youth work as well as public bodies at regional or national level. We are specifically looking for partners serving as host organisations for the two mentioned Training Courses in Croatia and Bosnia & Herzegovina. Besides being able to offer space (accommodation, food, working premises), the organisations should have a clear civic educational background, expertise and experience in non-formal education and youth work (e.g. youth meeting centres). We would like to inform all potential partners already in advance that different participation fees are taken during the planned main events to cover expenses which are not covered by the E+ grant (extra technical support, additional speakers, publications, give-away articles). Details are communicated after approval. How to become a partner? All organisations that are participating in the new Erasmus+ programme (as applicant as well as a partner) must be registered.
