CALL FOR PROGRAM COORDINATION CONSULTANCY The Kenya Cultural Centre incorporating Kenya National Theatre is the countrys oldest cultural institution established in 1951 through Cap 218 Laws of Kenya. It is a public body corporate overseen by a Governing Council with the mandate responsibility to: • provide for the performance of music, drama and dancing; • provide for the exhibition of works of art and crafts; • hold meetings for discussions on matters of literary, historical, scientific or education interest or importance; • carry out other purposes approved by the Council to further the forgoing functions. The Centre operates as a Semi Autonomous Government Agency (SAGA) and is currently domiciled under the Ministry of Sports, Culture and the Arts. 2.0 PROGRAM CORDINATION CONSULTANCY Currently The KCC is set roll out programmatic initiatives comprising creative activities as part of starting to realize its Strategic Plan. A Consultant Program Coordinator to help put this together and roll it out is urgently required for a short period of six (6) months. 3.0 CONSULTANCY ASSIGNMENT SCOPE This consultancy is meant to take lead in rolling out of several performance, visual and discursive activities by the Centre over the next 6 months. The Consultant is expected to work closely with the staff of the Centre in planning, implementing and reviewing of creative activities with a view to achieving impactful outcome on the general public. .4.0 APPLICATION SUBMISSION Interested individuals are advised to immediately submit their applications indicating qualifications, verifiable past portfolio in Creative Artistic Program coordination work experience.
