CALLING ALL SMITHTOWN JUNIORS.... Come spend some time with Rugby League Legend David Peachey THIS SATURDAY JULY 5... All Smithtown Juniors Players are invited to come along and attend a rugby league skills session with League legend David Peachey this Saturday at the Smithtown Oval between 12 and 12.45pm. David is here to support the Lower Macleay Magpies Charity Shield match once again being held this Saturday and has so kindly offered to run a skills session for our juniors. Along with some of the senior Magpie Players, David will be on hand to put the kids through some activities to help their games and have some fun. Its a great opportunity to be shown some skills from one of the games greatest players. Those attending are asked to please wear suitable training gear and bring a bottle of water. Kids will receive a little something for attending the session. Then why not stay with the family and enjoy an afternoon of fun with the Magpies when they take on the Long Flat Dragons in the Macleay Valley Coast Diabetes Group Charity shield match kicking off at 2.30pm. There will be a jumping castle, mascot dance off, Local Celebrity Goal Kicking Comp, Amazing Dancing from Danae Cantwells School of Dance students, Music by Terrys Entertainment, BBQ, Canteen, Bar Facilities and more. Following the match there will be a function back at the Magpies Major Sponsor, The Heritage Hotel of Gladstone. Enjoy a night of fun, live music, an auction and raffle. Come along, show your support and help raise some funds for this great local charity for kids living with Type 1 Diabetes! Together we can all help make a difference.
