CAMPAIGN TRAGEDY: OVER 35 PEOPLE LOST THEIR LIVES FOR REJECTING PETER OBI AND OBIANO IN A NIGHT VIGIL. It is yet another massive rejection for Mr. Peter Obi and his stooge, Mr. Willie Obiano as a massive congregation numbering around 10,000 persons gathered in a night Vigil at St Dominic’s Catholic Church Uke, Idemili North LGA of Anambra State roundly rejected Peter Obi’s plea to vote for Obinao. The governor arrived the vigil ground at around 12.30 am and was given the audience to address the congregation gathered from all nooks and crannies of the State and Nigeria for an all-night vigil, the shouts of ‘No! No!! No!!! Literally tore the air as Obi stood to introduce his anointed son whom he packaged to impose to the people of Anambra State. It took pleas from the presiding Rev Father, Emma Obimma (Fada Ebube Mo nso) to allow a moment of audience to the soft-spoken governor who apparently to buy silence began his speech with a donation of N5million on behalf of the State government to help tackle a gully erosion site near the Adoration grounds, which the church have suffered for years only to be remember at the plea for the worshiper’s votes. However, when the governor raised the issue of voting for Obiano, pandemonium nearly broke out as people shouted and knocked on chairs and any hard object within reach, while shouting down the governor, this continued unabated until Rev Fr Ebube Muonso took the microphone from the embarrassed governor. As he (Peter Obi) spoke, the quiet murmuring grew louder – followed by chants of ‘no no’, and boo the governor and his campaign entourage, hauling sachets water and other soft items within reach. In reaction to this chant, Willie Obiano/Peter Obi’s thugs including security operatives began rushing towards the area where the chants was coming from. While the chanters were moving away from the approaching armed men, in the process, it turned into a stampede, where people climbed on top of each other, according to a source from Crown Hospital Nkpor where the dead and injured ones were taking to, the death toll is over 35 people as the time of firing this report. According to a reliable source, Rev Fr Obimma in his speech said ‘I had told Gov Peter Obi that my church is not a place for campaign, but we allowed him to speak to you as a governor’. The development made the governor, his anointed son Obiano and their entourage skips addressing the second mass and quietly dissolves into the thin air. An eye witness, who claimed to have been part of the booing said’ Apart from the fact that Obiano is a packaged dummy from Peter Obi, which they are trying to force into us, the bigger problem is that this government (Anambra State government) think they can force people to vote for their anointed candidate by removing posters and billboards of other candidates’. ‘This is why most people who attended the church that day were not happy with the team; otherwise, there is nothing too difficult about listening to their message. Obiano was hand-picked by Gov Peter Obi after shoving aside all credible aspirants in APGA, through guided disqualification, acting in cahoots with Chief Victor Umeh. It’s also on record that, Peter Obi and Obiano’s thugs and policemen with state government vehicle caught at night removing Labour Party’s candidate Ifeanyi Ubah Billboards around 12:00am, and was arrested and taken to a police station in Onitsha. On that the same day another tragedy hits Obiano’s camp, as the already appointment to visit Ogbaru Local Government was aborted as a result of the sudden death of one of the organizing member of the event Mr. Nwadialo Osakwe from Umuolo village Ossomala, who slumped and died on the podium with the APGA attire, at the St. Patrick Catholic Church Ossomala village in Ogbaru L.G.A. During the interaction with the people after the vigil tragedy, many said that the system that introduced Obiano as the APGA candidate was not in the interest of the Anambrarians and APGA as a party, that’s why Obiano has been rejected all round the state, and also his inability to defend his mandate if given a chance adding with his woeful performances in the final debates between governors, where Obiano declined a viewpoint on the issue of immunity clause to the office of the governor as contained in the 1999 Constitution as amended, confessing that he was ignorant of the provision, also was caught in debate malpractices. The debates viewed on television around the world, were still fresh in minds of the people when the latest rejection incident took place in the wee hours of Saturday Nov. 2nd 2013. Before now, Obiano had been rejected in all Onitsha Markets, Awka markets and scores of crowd-pulling events. Traders are angry that Obi tried to exclude political opponents from campaigning in the markets and churches, only to flout the same rule. The question for Mr. Peter Obi is, why are you forcing Anambrarians especially the churches, whom you defile their teachings by building a home of Babel for them? The Bible said, give a foolish man a strong drink so he will be more foolish and the same foolish people you are begging their votes. Who is deceiving who? Do Peter Obi needs prophecy to know that people vote for Ojukwu and not him during his time, that he has been rejected by Anambrarians. This is a crime to humanity, Peter Obi and Willie has finally used the blood of innocent Anambrarian to paint their flag which cannot be erased from the hearts of the people, Federal government should wade into their affairs and stop their further campaigns mostly to the churches and markets to avoid more casualties, because it is clear that Ananbrarians rejects them.
