Last night, my mom and her boyfriend were in a horrible motorcycle accident, they hit head on with an in coming vehicle. I got a call from his sister that my mom was getting airlifted to foothills with head injuries and her boyfriend was going by ambulance. When we got to the hospital her fate was uncertain, it was 2 early to say how severe her head injuries were at that point. He was in pain with a broken Leg and swollen face and in much pain, but he was alright. Mom was transferred to ICU and it had been the longest hours waiting for answers and results, for the first time ever reality set in that I might lose my mom and our Girlz will lose their grandma, and all if this because of DRINKING AND DRIVING. Thankfully today while nurses were doing their routine vitals check they tried to wake her up and she did, she opened her eyes for a brief moment and tried to move her arms and legs. Despite the broken bones, her hand, foot, pelvis and all the bruises, that was the best sign ever that we could get today. We are so thankful for everyones prayers and concern, because prayer is powerful and it was sure answered today when she opened her eyes. There will be a long road of recovery and its still 2 early to tell what the outcome will be, but all I want to say is Thank you Jesus, in your name I pray. The moral of me posting this is in hopes that if u or someone u know is drinking and driving, have the guys to say no and dont drive, take someones keys away, do whatever it takes to save a life, it doesnt matter how mad that person gets at you, its better than getting that dreaded phone call or trip to the hospital. This one hit way to close to home and unfortunately it takes something like this to get the word out and help others or bring awareness to others, stand up for ur family and friends if you love them that much.
