CAN SANTA BE SAVED?: Far from being a dangerous fairy tale, Santa - TopicsExpress

CAN SANTA BE SAVED?: Far from being a dangerous fairy tale, Santa Claus in reality is an Anglicized form of the Dutch name Sinter Klaas, a Christian bishop from the 4th century. According to tradition, Saint Nick not only lavished gifts on needy children, but also valiantly support the doctrine of the Trinity at the Council of Nicea in AD 325. First, there is only one God, Christianity is not polytheistic. “Before me no god was formed, nor will there be one after me” (Isaiah 43: 10). Second, in hundreds of passages, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are said to be fully and completely GOD. Third, each member of the Trinity is distinct. Scripture clearly portrays relationships between them. Christians may look back to the tradition of Saint Nick, who lavished gifts and supported these doctrines of the Trinity, as a legendary hero of the faith. However, the idea that he lives in the North Pole in a toy factory run by elves and travels by flying reindeer is clearly myth and should be treated as such. May the story of the selflessness of Saint Nick remind us of the Savior who gave the greatest gift of all. Instead of trading Savior with Santa, allow Santa to remind us of salvation by grace alone, through faith alone – and on account of Christ alone. **To “share”, copy and paste this text and enjoy this song selection -- https://youtube/watch?v=414dGGTedpM
