The difference in the placing is based on a statistical calculation of the net-run rate. The first and second team, UAE and Scotland, are on 6 points apiece also separated by the net-run rate. Unfortunately, both teams are playing the last two teams on the ladder in this 6 team decider. PNG v Hong Kong PNG have scored a good total of 255 runs in their allotted 50. Hong Kong have yet to bat. Scotland v Kenya Kenya have scored a good total of 260 runs in their allotted 50. Scotland have yet to bat. UAE v Namibia UAE have set a good total of 263 in their allotted 50 overs. Namibia have yet to bat. If PNG are to have any chances of qualifying: 1. PNG has to beat Hong Kong. 2. Either Scotland or Namibia lose their respective matches. If both of the above scenarios happen, its a matter of punching the numbers on the calculator to get the final net-run rate to determine the two finalists and qualifiers.
