CAN THE DEVILS FROM EVIL FOREST BE ANGELS IN THE NEW CATHEDRAL? Senator Bukola Saraki recently explained reasons for dumping PDP for the APC in some newspapers report . He blamed his exit to alleged Federal Government neglect of Kwara State in the Scheme of National development. Bukola Saraki we must recount was a two term Governor in Kwara State and now a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria elected through PDP platform, not only that he was the Chairman of the Governor forum for those eight years and a highly influential member of the ruling party in the last 11years till date ,he was among the topmost members of PDP who decided who gets what in the political power game that brought PDP to its present state. I have read similar allegation by Rotimi Ameachi that the PDP led federal government had not done enough for Rivers among his other reasons for leaving the party . Rotimi Ameachi is also a two term Governor through PDP platform and the successor of Saraki as the chairman of the Nigeria Governors forum. We must have heard also that a host of other decampees to APC including the former Vice President , former ministers and key political actors in the PDP have one story or the other to tell about the many sins of PDP and the reasons why they are dumping the party, thesame party that gave them bread, butter, and lots of juicy morsels to feed fat at the expense of Nigerian masses had suddenly become an object of abysmal rejection and of no electoral value any longer. Obviously, they want Nigerians to believe that their sojourn in the new party is in the best interest of their people and the Nigerian Nation while painting a holier than thou pictures on the dash board. It took Rotimi Ameachi, Bukola Saraki, Atiku Bubakar, El Rufai, Femi Fanikayode, Murtala Nyako, etal more than twelve years and after they had taken their turns at the sharing table to realise that there is no equity, fairness and justice in the party. If PDP was bad, corrupt, and insensitive to the plight of the Nigerian people, we need to ask ourselves is it about the accronym pdp or the managers of its affairs?. Can we convincingly blame the bullets for the killings when in he real sense of it a group of armed soldiers fired the bayonets that killed. Can we trust their genuine intention even in their new party of abode. Is it the wine content that is bad or its bottle...invariably, APC is the new bottle now being filled by thesame liquid contents that made the old wine in stock acidic and of bad taste Dapo Oke
