CANCER IMPORTANT Please like this post if you read it so it gets to the top of my feed and stays there. My friend Mike Henderson, former cancer patient of five years, is creating a stellar resource and start-up company for Cancer patients and their support network. It is called CancerGenius. I am one of several volunteering our time for a worthy venture, and as of yesterday, he has left his high-paying position as COO to focus all of his time and resources on this. We have meetings with Huntsman Cancer Institute, an Insurance Provider, and some others in the next four weeks. While many in the start-up have either experienced cancer journeys or helped family through them, we want to build out the most universally important features for todays environment first. That means we need people to help. NEED: To talk as soon as possible tomorrow to a few willing heroes going through cancer treatment right now, or who recently completed it. Family members (such as parents) supporting those with cancer are also welcome. What: We will be doing short five to ten minute interviews with them about personal challenges outside of treatment itself, such as financial assistance, travel, emotional support, data gathering, etc. We will most likely select one or two individuals/families to assist for a few days in their particular need, if possible. Our goal is to determine which features and support have the greatest need right now, so we can deliver that first.
