The Port is one of the largest artificial ports in the world and the largest port of North Africa. It is also the primary naval base for the Royal Moroccan Navy. The Latinized name of the city is a Portuguese word combination meaning White House (branca white, casa house). Hassan II Mosque has the tallest minaret in the world. The city was popularised after an Academy Awarded Hollywood movie with the same name, starring legends like Humphrey Bogart, Ingrid Bergman.
