CAR INSURANCEY PEOPLE: im still dealing with the claim from when i was rear ended last april 28th. on february 28th of this year the aduster told me she would be calling me with an offer in about 2 weeks. its not been almost 2 months and we are coming up on the year anniversary of the accident. is there anything i can do besides the obvious get an attorney? my concern with getting an atttorney is this: my medical bills alone are $8000. standard attorneys fee is 1/3 of settlement. the max i can receive is $15000. if he gets $5000 that leaves me with a max of $10000. $8000 goes to medical. that only leaves $2000 to cover 4 months of not working and other expenses i incurred. HELP.
