CARNEVALE A MAINZ + GITA AD HEIDELBERG 13-19 FEBBRAIO 102€ DEADLINE: 10 FEBBRAIO Dear AEGEEans, AEGEE Heidelberg and AEGEE Mainz-Wiesbaden would like to invite you to a highlight of this Winter, the AEGEE Event Carnival and culture on Rhine and Neckar from the 13.02.-19.02.2015. Join us for one of Germanys most famous carnivals in the beautiful city of Mainz. We will celebrate 3 nights of carneval, see the amazing carnival procession in Mainz, do some cultural workshops and make trips along the romantic valley of the river Rhine to Koblenz, to the medieval town of Marburg, to Wiesbaden. Afterwards we go to the lovley city of Heidelberg with its old town and its castle. Our programme: MAINZ Friday, 13 th of Febraury: We will meet at 13:00 at Heidelberg central railway station and go by train to Mainz or we are ready to pick you up in Mainz during the whole day. In the evening we will have a European Night, where everybody should bring some food or a drink from his or her country. Saturday, 14 th of February, City tour in Mainz in the morning. Lunch. Then well go by train along the romantic valley of the river Rhine to Koblenz and have a city tour there. In the evening we will have dinner and then go to celebrate carnival and have a pub crawl. Sunday 15 th of February: City trip to the medieval town Marburg and have a city tour there. In the early evening we will have a workshop on how to make traditional German noodels „Spätzle“. Then we go to the city and have an other carnival party. Monday, 16 th of February; Having a Workshop about Carnivals traditions in Germany. Seeing the famous carnivals procession and then we will party in the city centre. Tuesday, 17 th of February: Leaving the accommodation and go to Wiesbaden, the capital of the federal state Hesse. There we will have a guided tour through the Parliament of Hesse. Afterwards we will go by train to Heidelberg. In the evening we offer a pub crawl to the bars of Heidelberg. HEIDELBERG Wednesday, 18 th of February: City tour to Heidelberg, going to the castle and the Philosophers Way. Workshop Recycling Art in the afternoon. Night out in Heidelberg. Thursday morning: fare well after breakfast. Accommodation: We will have a house on our own with a kitchen, a party room, several dormitories and beds. A Supermarket is around the corner. In Heidelberg we will offer private lodging for 2 nights. What do you need to bring? Bed sheet and sleeping bag (if you do not have this, you can rent a complete bed-linen for 6 €), some food or some drinks from your country for the European Night. If you have a costume bring it, if not you can buy some cheap carnival accessories in the city till late in the evening :). Fee: 102 €. Included in the fee are all train trips, bus, 4 nights accomodation in Mainz, 2 Nights accomodation in Heidelberg, guided tour to the Parliament of Hesse, bus rides, 6 times breakfast and 5 times either a warm meal or a lunch package for the trips.
