CASTANET IVE HAD ENOUGH...GET THIS STORY CORRECT! OK, NOW ITS TIME FOR THE FACTS! Everyone has a right to their opinion but YOU DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO MAKE UP YOUR OWN FACTS! This is a recent video from Castanet and Im concerned over a few miss comments. I DID NOT LOSE MY CONTROLLED ALIEN SPECIES PERMIT. I AM IN POSSESSION OF THIS PERMIT TODAY! Our temporary zoo permit was not renewed because of the lack of a permanent location. I CAN FEED MY ANIMALS AND ALWAYS HAVE. Its a little hypocritical of the SPCA asking why I have to ask the public for donations to feed animals. The SPCA (a non profit) FUNDRAISES EVERYDAY TO FEED ANIMALS AND PAY EXPENSES. CrocTalk a non profit fundraises once or twice a year to help with expenses! Lets be fair guys. CrocTalk has an incredible reputation of conservation through education. Conservation officer was here last week and saw now issues with the animals. Linda from the SPCA in Kelowna was here 3 days ago and saw no issues with animals. Lets get on the same playing field here. SPCA does great work rescuing rehabbing and selling animals to good homes. CrocTalk does great work rescuing crocodilians, rehabbing but I cant sell mine nor adopt them out because they are illegal! so we create programs to educate the public, universities, tourists. Also study and research their intelligence in a clean captive environment. I support the SPCA in all their fundraisers! SPCA does not support CrocTalk because their belief is reptiles should not be kept in captivity. HELLO!! I cant adopt them out or put them back into the wild. ITS ILLEGAL!! What would you suggest KILL THEM ALL? Dont rescued born in captivity reptiles have the same rights as domestics that are rescued? If not SPCA, you are all hypocrites! Maybe its time you supported my efforts and lets work together to solve problems and not create problems and tension. Were both on the same page. Provide safe, clean environments free from stress, neglect and educate these ARE NOT PETS! I dont understand why creating a good respected educational program is so difficult! I have NEVER asked for the public to pay for my pet food. Sara you should know these are not pets! Ive gone to the public for help with expenses ONLY. Period! You the SPCA of all organizations should know the high costs of provided good captive care. Its ok for the SPCA but not for CrocTalk to ask for help? Whats wrong with this picture?
