How might the world change and how would civilization survive? “The Path to Paradise ” is an original 7 episode series that follows twenty-something “Hunter Banks” (main character) and his best friend “Eli Smith” through the turbulent months after this catastrophic event. How will they cope as martial law is declared, the government is abandoned, technology ceases to work, food runs out, friends and family die, electrical power fails and winter turns cities into desolate wastelands. Character Bios: (Eli) (Gender: Male) (Age: 18-20) Hunters best friend. They met in high school and have been best friends ever since. He is fearless, strong and loyal to Hunter. Although Hunter is the ‘leader’ of the two, Eli won’t hesitate to challenge his decisions. He will always be there for Hunter even when the situations seems dire and outside influences seem to try to drive a wedge between the two. (Jacob-supporting) (Gender: Male) (Age: Early to mid 20s) (White Caucasian) Older bother to Claire (already cast) He will always watch out and protect Claire and take care of her. Has served in the Marines prior to the event so this role calls for actor to be in excellent shape. Considered to be an excellent judge of character but will thwart authority often and tends to be headstrong. (Heather-supporting) (Gender: Female) (Age: Early 20s) Associated with Mark whom she met on her travels. Although they know nothing about each other, they have decided to stick together to watch each others’ back. She is brave but occasionally thoughtless and naïve. Is having a very difficult time adjusting to her new world and the people in it. (Mark-supporting) (Gender: Male) (Age: late 30’s-early 40’s) Leader of Claire’s group. Mark was a father of three but lost everything including his wife and children. Angry and frustrated, he is torn between the ‘new’ world and his haunting memories of the past. Tries to act like’ father’ figure and lead this group thru many trying situations. (Valerie- supporting) (Gender: Female) (Age:17-22) Hunter’s girlfriend, the reason Hunter keeps going. She is ‘lost’ to Hunter in many ways but Hunter will do anything to find her. She loves Hunter more than anything, despite some past trouble in their relationship. She isn’t helpless but doesn’t know how to handle herself very well in certain situations. Although she is smart and spunky and will stand-up for herself if she thinks she is right, she tends to rely on Hunter to solve problems. Loyal. (Jill-supporting) (Gender: Female) (Age: early to mid 40’s) Single mother of a young daughter, and also a Nurse by profession. Strong willingness to help others but will always put the needs and wants of her daughter above everything else including her own desires. She has struggled greatly throughout the past years while trying to keep her daughter alive and safe and has been in many dangerous situations. ( Gabby -supporting) (Gender:Female) (Age: 9-12) Jill’s daughter. Timid, quiet and clings to her mother. Has never known her father. Tends to form fast attachments to others. Also Needed: 2 males, ages 35-55 and 3 females ages 35-55 for various extra parts, may include speaking opportunities Also Needed: 2-5 “biker type” males, “Bad-Ass” type. Ages: 18-45 Body art, tatoos ok. Will be speaking roles.
