CCS Parents, David wrote in Psalm 21:5 Plans of the persistent surely lead to productivity. This week a long time vision and goal of Christ Covenant School is in its final stages. If you have been around the school this week, you might have noticed a team of our peers from AdvancED (previously know as the Southern Association Accreditation of Schools and Colleges) evaluating our school. Through a tremendous amount of work from our administration, faculty and staff, we have been recommended by this team to receive the stamp of accreditation. The recommendations of the team will be reviewed by the state office in June as well as the national association, but we have been assured that it is highly likely we will be officially accredited this summer. The process of accreditation has revealed many positive practices and areas to enhance. The work continues as we will be establishing goals and processes for improvement as recommended by the team. We greatly appreciate the time that parents and students took to participate in interviews with the team. We thank our faculty and staff for all the hard work and long hours they have sacrificed for this process. We would also like to especially thank Brenda Brown and Dr. Tessie Guidry for doing an outstanding job in leading us to our goal. In the near future, we will be celebrating this accomplishment along with announcing a few more pieces of exciting news.
