CCTV Data Recovery Closed-circuit television (CCTV) is the use of video cameras to transmit a signal to a specific place, on a limited set of monitors. The video and audio signals will be stored in the DVR attached to the CCTV system. The data will be stored in a hard disk which can store data up to 1 year depending on the capacity of the hard disk. Recordings are usually kept for the preset amount of time and then automatically archived, overwritten or deleted. Even if the data is deleted, it can be retrieved using specific software. The data recovery software can read the file system format that the DVR is using. The software can recover enough pieces of erased or deleted files which can be combined to get a coherent video clip.
