Spent an interesting hour or so on Acoustic Guitar forum learning about why I tour with the guitars I do. Some insightful comments and a few gems of uninformed tripe. I havent got time to correct every falsehood on that forum so heres a few facts to take to the bank 1) I do not endorse PRS Guitars to finance other gutiar purchases. 2) Endorsees are not paid for simply playing the guitars. 3) I dont take a PRS on the road because Im precious about other guitars. The most valuable guitars I own have been on tour several times. I dont own a guitar Id not tour with. The PRS McManus is not a cheap guitar. 4) The endorsement had nothing to do with publicity. I walked away from a signature model with the biggest guitar company out there for the simple reason that the PRS was a better- much better- guitar.
