CDA Approves Metro Bus Project in Islamabad Capital The meeting of CDA Development Working Party (CDADWP) was held at CDA Headquarters on Tuesday. Chairman Capital Development Authority Mr. Maroof Afzal presided over the meeting. The meeting was attended by Commissioner Rawalpindi, the CDA Board members and the concerned officers. The CDA DWP after thorough discussions and deliberations approved the part of Metro-Bus Project falling in the jurisdiction of Islamabad. It was decided in the meeting that the natural beauty, environment and landscape of Islamabad will be protected and preserved. It was also decided in the meeting that 1% of the cost of the PC-1 would be reserved for the protection of environment and horticulture in Islamabad. The meeting was informed that the 14 kilometer stretch of Metro-Bus would be constructed in Islamabad territory. It was further informed that 14 bus stops with one kilometer distance each along the 14 kilometers stretch of Metro-Bus Project would also be constructed in Islamabad area for maximum benefit of the citizens. This public service project would provide state of the art travelling facilities to the residents of the twin cities. The project is expected to be completed by the end of the current year.
