CELTIC SET TO SNATCH NORWEGIAN WONDER KID HH -Rory This week it looked like Liverpool were set to pull off the signing of the 15-year old Norway international Martin Odegaard when the youngster was seen at the club’s training ground. Yet according to the Daily Express the player could instead be off to Scotland to once again team up with his former manager Ronny Deila – now boss at Celtic. Deila was formally manager of Odegaard’s side Stromsgodet and is confident that the youngster will follow him to Celtic Park, stating: “I have control over that situation. I know what is happening there. “This is more about his choices. What is his thinking? “Is it go to a big club and try to break in there and go through that road or go to a smaller club in not such a good league but it makes it easier to make the first team?” With the world’s biggest clubs all competing for Odegaard he essentially has his pick, but for a player that has seen first-team football so young for both club and country it might well make more sense for him to join a team like Celtic, rather than trying to break through at one of Europe’s giants. Here’s a taster of the skills possessed by the midfielder that will be number one on every Celtic fan’s Christmas list. youtu.be/Smi8jvNixL8
